Hufu

As a human, I find myself struggling with skin problems that plague everyone: things like pimples, acne, and blackheads. As a result, I constantly work to clear my skin. Using new cleansers, moisturizers, and toners.

In Chinese the characters: 护肤 (Hufu) means skincare in chinese. As a Chinese-American, I find myself struggling to find remidies for these problems at local stores such as Sephora, CVS, or Walgreens. The skincare made by Caucaian based brands was not effective for my Asian skin. So I researched myself. Why was my skin different, and how can I finally achieve clear skin.

This is the purpose of Hufu. Sharing meaningful information about skincare so fellow Asians can understand why certain products work, and why others don’t. I wish to explain the science behind it, so that not only are you left with answers, but the reason why the answers work.
